Scarlette Douglas has struggled to find a make-up artist that understood her skin tones until now

Known for her radiant complexion and effortless beauty, the A Place In The Sun favourite talked about the struggle of finding makeup products that truly work for deeper skin tones. The TV presenter places a huge emphasis on protecting and nurturing black skin. She actively spotlights suncare products that are formulated specifically for deeper skin tones without leaving white residue. Having recently got engaged to fitness instructor Kyle Murray, she says she is smiling every day and is planning a wedding in Jamaica, her spiritual home, where both her and Kyle’s parents are from.

Scarlette was on site at Ideal Home Show Scotland at the weekend talking all things interiors with her brother Stuart, her fellow presenter on Channel 4’s Worst House on the Street and Can’t Sell Must Sell. She took the opportunity to speak to the team from Charlotte Tilbury about the perfect wedding look. New to the brand Scarlette said she was really impressed with their range of products. She said: “With this makeup I feel confident and I love the fact they want to enhance natural beauty.” 

Talking of looks she loves she said: “For me it must be a bold lip. That is my signature for sure. I am not too keen on big, big lashes as makeup is all about enhancing natural beauty. I am from a musical theatre background and Kyle used to be a dancer too. I knew as soon as I met him, we were meant to be together.”

Scarlette is glowing with love and of course, with a little bit of extra help from Charlotte Tilbury.
