Our concoction of the week features a brand-new Scottish liqueur and a gorgeous bottle to boot

In the mood for some strawberry-infused flavour? Behold the Daqberri – our cocktail pick of the week. Using the Isle of Barra Distillers’ brand-new Strawberry and Ginger Gin Liqueur – made with hand-picked, local Scottish strawberries – the natural sweetness of the fruit teams with the spice of the ginger to create a deliciously more-ish drink. We’re also a fan of the eye-catching pink on the bottle’s packaging.

Made on Scotland’s most westerly island facing the Atlantic Ocean and home to the isle’s first distillery, Isle of Barra Distillers was founded by husband-and-wife duo, Michael and Katie Morrison. Their mission was not only to create premium small-batch gin and whisky, but also to create jobs on the island and honour their heritage, homeland and isle of their childhood.

25ml Strawberry and Ginger Gin Liqueur

25ml Island Dark Rum
30ml Lime juice
10ml PX Sherry

  • Measure ingredients into a cocktail shaker then add ice and shake hard.
  • Double strain into a classic coupette and garnish with candied ginger and strawberry on a cocktail stick.
