More delicious eats are arriving at St James Quarter

Celebrity chef Jimmy Lee is bringing his new pan-Asian street food concept to the capital

Owner of Glasgow restaurant Lychee Oriental and Great British Menu chef, Jimmy Lee, is joining the vibrant community of chef-led eateries currently housed within Bonnie & Wild, the Scottish foodhall at Edinburgh’s St James Quarter.

Leith Woks – a new pan-Asian, wok-based street food restaurant – will serve up fiery Cantonese cuisine using seasonal ingredients from Scotland’s diverse larder. The Glasgow chef has already found success in the Scottish foodie marketplace with his Hong Kong street food brand, Salt and Chilli Oriental – with the new concept serving up small plates such as Ayrshire pork ribs Peking Style and duck spring rolls with hoisin bramble dip.

Larger plates on offer will include slow-cooked Scotch beef curry with coconut rice and Ramsay of Carluke pork chow mein.

Lee also operates Salt & Chilli in Glasgow’s West End, and has appeared on the BBC’s Great British Menu, as a judge alongside Prue Leith on Channel 4’s My Kitchen Rules, as well as presenting his popular STV cookery series, Julie and Jimmy’s Hot Woks

Leith Woks will open weekly Monday – Sundays from Wednesday 8th June. Visit www.leithwoks.co.uk for the menu and further details
