Harvey Nichols Edinburgh are celebrating Wimbledon this year with a tennis-themed afternoon tea
Excited about some top tennis action at Wimbledon this year? Well if you aren’t going to make it courtside – as amazing as that would be – Harvey Nichols look set to ace it in delicious fashion with a special Wimbledon-themed afternoon tea.
With the world-famous tournament celebrating its 145th anniversary this year, the Forth Floor restaurant are marking the occasion with a limited-edition menu, launching on 27th June – when the competition begins.
The tempting tea includes a trio of savoury delicacies, with a menu featuring smoked salmon, served with chive cream cheese and watercress on a brioche bun; an avocado, tomato and cucumber poppy seed sandwich and a superfood salad of quinoa, pomegranate, butternut squash, pea shoots.
There’ll be a traditional serving of fruit scones with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry jam, followed by some sweet treats – strawberries and cream served with lemon meringue and a strawberry and vanilla syrup; lemon and elderflower tart featuring a white chocolate drizzle; and a slice of Victoria sponge served with a Pimm’s and strawberry jelly and strawberry mousse.
And as a spectacular finale? You can enjoy a Pimm’s cocktail while raising a toast to Wimbledon and soaking up the views over Edinburgh and the Firth of Forth.
The Wimbledon Afternoon Tea is priced at £25 per person or £35 per person with a Pimm’s cocktail. Available 27th June – 10th July
