Aeronautica Militare lands in Scotland

The luxury Italian brand have chosen Edinburgh’s St. James Quarter as the location for their first UK store

Italian clothing and accessories brand Aeronautica Militare have joined the likes of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger in taking up a coveted St James Quarter store location. The brand’s first and only UK store, the Edinburgh venue will showcase the luxury label’s range of outerwear and comfortable loungewear.

The new Edinburgh store

Launched in 2004, the brand initially attracted a wide range of airplane, aerobatics and Italian lifestyle enthusiasts – being the official retail partner of the Italian Air Force – but has now captured a wider audience with its contemporary designs for men and women. The use of premium Italian-made leather is a key part of the brand’s design ethos, with manufacturing carried out by Christiano Di Thiene SPA, who are renowned for their quality Italian craftsmanship. All decorations, badges and emblems characterising the designer collections are original and worn by the Italian Air Force and Frecce Tricolori pilots.

SS22 collection highlights include this season’s ‘it’ cargo trousers to technical windbreakers and embroidered polo shirts.
