Gleneagles spa has had a gorgeous new makeover

The Riviera in the Highlands has truly made its famous spa a luxurious must-visit, with a redesigned relaxation space, iconic new treatment brands and a range of specially curated retreats.

The Gleneagles spa and wellness offering now features a state-of-the-art space of total serenity and for the first time, the countryside hotel is producing its own balms, oils and scrubs made from herbs and plants found on the estate and in the beautiful surrounding Perthshire countryside.

The new spa is acclaimed skincare brand Dr. Barbara Sturm’s first UK residency outside of London. The spa’s cutting-edge, medically-inspired spa treatments will incorporate Dr. Sturm’s Molecular Cosmetics skincare collection, whilst ‘Queen of Green’, Tata Harper, will offer a range of bespoke treatments, too.

The dedicated Dr. Barbara Sturm treatments include the signature #sturmglow and super anti-aging facials and there will also be a series of retreats led by a resident Dr. Barbara Sturm aesthetician launching later this year. Hailed as one of the great pioneers of the skincare world and renowned for non-surgical anti-ageing treatments and methods, Dr. Barbara Sturm offers an aesthetic alternative to drastic and high-risk procedures.

This is the first Scottish offering Tata Harper, whose 100% natural and all-organic treatments have all been created exclusively for Gleneagles. Together with the hotel, Tata Harper has developed a menu centred around three treatment options that can be experienced as a facial or full body massage: balance & grounding; soothe & rest and illuminate & energise.  Each treatment incorporates progressive techniques such as chromotherapy; breath work; singing bowl rituals and lymphatic drainage.  The signature Gleneagles ‘Sensorial Resets’ captivate all five senses for a complete recalibration of the skin, body and mind in one transformative treatment.

Focusing on a holistic outlook, healthy and delicious food is also a priority, with new menus for the Spa and Garden Cafés from naturopath and nutritionist, Rosemary Ferguson, who will also be hosting specially curated retreats later this year and in 2022.

Gleneagles guests can choose between a range of overnight or day spa retreats, which commence from 1st September onwards. Each day spa package, including specialist Tata Harper retreats, will include a two-course lunch in the Wellness Café and full access to the spa and health club facilities.

Rates at Gleneagles start from £475 based on two sharing and including breakfast. Retreats priced separately. For more information visit: www.gleneagles.com or call 0800 704 705
