It’s a capital classic for an afternoon spent sipping on tea or champagne in historic surroundings – with The Caledonian’s pink-accented Peacock Alley aptly setting the scene for their new afternoon tea.
To mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month the hotel will be serving a limited-edition, pink-themed afternoon tea, with £5 from each afternoon tea donated to Pink Ribbon Foundation.
Featuring freshly baked (and delicious-looking) rose macarons, berry & chocolate spheres, madeleines, scones and a selection of finger sandwiches, the Pink Afternoon Tea will be priced at £35 per person for Traditional Afternoon Tea and £45 per person for Champagne Afternoon Tea.
The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant-making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, have been affected by breast cancer, or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer and its early detection and treatment.
The limited edition Pink Afternoon Tea is available as traditional, vegan or free from gluten. From 1st to 31st October, daily from 12 – 5pm in Peacock Alley. To make a booking, call 0131 222 8888, email afternoontea.reservations@waldorfastoria.com or visit www.thecaledonian.waldorfastoria.com
