Well, this is the the way to do a whiskey launch. An innovatively-created malt deserves a unique first foray into the world, so tonight in Soho a new photography show will open and be created completely live in front of your eyes, while you sip on Sexton Single Malt whisky concoctions.

The Sexton ‘Own The Night’ Live Photography Exhibition invites visitors to witness the events of a single evening unfolding in multiple cities – including London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin – in real time. The live exhibition will feature images captured by six roaming photographers over the course of an evening and showcased on digital screens in the London gallery moment later to launch the new whiskey. There will also be The Darkroom – a sensory whiskey tasting experience – and a bar offering whiskey cocktails.

The namesake of The Sexton was the traditional custodian of sacred objects; the one who prepared the grave and the last person to see people, body and soul, before they were buried. As such The Sexton whiskey has a different perspective on life – and the cocktails for the evening are each aptly named.

Master blender Alex Thomas says: “The nature of this exhibition will provide a unique insight into the night and will beautifully document urban life after dark as it happens. The Sexton’s ‘Own The Night’ photographers are playing around with styles, subjects and situations, much like I do behind the scenes during the creative distilling process – so I expect Sexton Whiskey and photography to forge a powerful connection on the night.”

The Sexton ‘Own The Night’ Live Photography Exhibition is free to attend and will be taking place at 15 Bateman Street, in Soho on Thursday 30th May from 7pm – 11pm

Visitors who’d like to attend can register for free tickets, which will include two complimentary cocktails at the gallery bar. To register for tickets, please email ownthenight@cowpr.com with the subject RSVP
