This historic ship started life as a lighthouse tender, helping to maintain lighthouses and transport their keepers, equipment and supplies to some of the most remote locations in Scotland.

A recent expansion of the restaurant to encompass more of the deck space has created a stunning airy aft area framed by floor-to-ceiling windows so guests can watch the vibrant Leith Docks transform from bold daylight into soft, dusky tones as the evening sun spills across the water.

Also new for 2025, Fingal’s original wheelhouse is being developed into a thoughtfully designed new private dining experience, offering a tailored and immersive gastronomic journey for guests, inspired by Fingal’s working life at sea.

Fingal is located opposite the new Port of Leith tram stop, which offers a direct and quick transport link between Leith and Edinburgh city centre.
