No ordinary cuisine

Finnieston’s ever-vibrant food scene has a new addition – the intriguing-sounding Extra_Ordinary. The pan-Asian restaurant, headed up by Australian-Italian chef Tobias Fiegel, will blend Japanese, Korean and Chinese cuisines with dishes such as kohlrabi kimchi, udon with XO mussels and char siu Chinese pancake.

Growing popularity

Could Edinburgh’s St Stephen Street get any cooler? Its star rating definitely just went up with the arrival of Moss – a new farm-to-table restaurant with ex-Noma chef Henry Dobson at the helm. Inspired by his travels in Scandinavia and East Asia, the menu will incorporate over 90 products sourced directly from Dobson’s Scottish family farm.

A great catch

The Seafood Ristorante is teaming its stunning St Andrews Bay view with a celebration of the venue’s 20th anniversary. A special ‘Icons’ menu, running until mid-April, will celebrate the restaurant’s most popular dishes from the past two decades.

Grand ideas

Cosy library vibes meet classic British pub. 16 Bothwell Street is now home to The Noble, giving you the perfect excuse to enjoy a beverage before you head off to Central Station. The Glasgow venue offers a menu of signature martinis – including hot honey, passionfruit and tomato concoctions.

Blooming botanicals

Save us a seat at the bar: the gorgeous interiors of Cromlix House have welcomed a new gin – the luxury hotel’s very own. The new Cromlix Gin is part of a partnership with Wildfire Spirit, an artisan gin subscription service in the Scottish Borders, who helped the venue create a flavour profile based on botanicals grown on the estate.
