Nadia’s ability to spot emerging trends led to her making headlines in 2017, after she opened the UK’s first franchise store for Holland Cooper, the British label renowned for giving traditional country-style womenswear a modern twist. She made her first foray into clothing production by acquiring Hancock factory – now Alexander Manufacturing – in Cumbernauld in 2022. From there she developed the Bearco collection of tailored clothing, combining elegance, sophistication and sustainability. The latest Bearco collection features breathable pac-a-macs, classic bucket hats and flattering trench coats.
Alexander Manufacturing is an official supplier of Team GB, with the factory crafting bespoke men’s and women’s formalwear for up to 350 athletes for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Each of Alexander Manufacturing’s hand-tailored suits and shirts was bespoke for each athlete, using British textiles woven with tradition and quality from McNaughton’s Perth cloth. Nadia chose to dress the athletes in 100% Scottish woven lightweight wool.
