Scottish fragrance house lands top luxury accolade
Edinburgh-based fragrance house Kingdom Scotland has been selected for the 2026 Brands of Tomorrow programme by Walpole, the official body for the British luxury sector

The prestigious year-long accelerator, delivered in partnership with Mishcon de Reya, supports high-growth luxury brands as they scale operations, refine strategy and expand internationally. The programme has supported 177 brands over the past 19 years, many of which have gone on to achieve significant commercial success.

Founded in 2018 by Imogen Russon-Taylor, Kingdom Scotland has carved out a distinctive position in the fast-growing global niche fragrance market, a category projected to outpace mass beauty as consumers seek provenance, craft and authenticity.

Imogen Russon-Taylor, founder of Kingdom Scotland

Unlike traditional fragrance brands, Kingdom Scotland is built on Scotland’s material heritage. Russon-Taylor, who holds a degree in Earth Sciences from the University of Edinburgh and previously worked in the luxury Scotch whisky industry, applies the structural precision and maturation philosophy of whisky-making to scent creation.

Each of the brand’s gender-free fragrances draws on Scotland’s geology, biodiversity and elemental landscape, positioning the company at the intersection of Scottish cultural capital and modern British luxury.

With increasing global demand for culturally rooted, sustainable luxury brands, the company is now focused on expanding distribution across the UK and key international markets.
