Bookface Sip & Swaps has returned to Glasgow, offering a mix of events for avid readers of all ages. Hosted by our book columnist Heather Suttie, these stylish and sustainable events bring together household names and rising stars with stories that spark conversation long after the event ends — all in a relaxed setting built around community and curiosity.
Tom Hindle will appear on Saturday 28th February at Glaschu with A Killer in Paradise, a sun-soaked crime novel where a luxury reunion in Costa Rica curdles into suspicion and murder. His tightly plotted stories and clear eye for character always prompt energetic audience debate.
Virginia Evans
Word-of-mouth literary sensation and author of The Correspondent, Virginia Evans, will also be at Glaschu on Sunday 8th March at 9:30 am. The critically acclaimed novel became one of the standout literary successes of 2025. Told entirely through letters, the book introduces Sybil Van Antwerp, a retired lawyer who uses correspondence to make sense of life, love, loss and connection.
Originally published with modest expectations, The Correspondent built extraordinary momentum through word of mouth and praise from established authors. It has since been reprinted multiple times, featured on major literary lists, and sold widely across the United States and internationally — an impressive achievement for a debut novel in today’s publishing climate.
Author Jennie Godfrey

It’s sharp, funny and perfectly pitched for a live audience.
