Celebrate World Sake Day at this stunning Edinburgh venue
The five-star hotel W Edinburgh is celebrating the occasion at SUSHISAMBA with an exclusive lineup of cocktails that reimagine classic serves with premium sake

Crafted by SUSHISAMBA’s expert mixologists, the menu will be available from Wednesday 1st until Sunday 5th October.

With a limited-edition menu of four premium cocktails ranging from rich, chocolatey flavour profiles to citrusy and bright notes, SUSHISAMBA Edinburgh’s line up of cocktails offer something for all tastes:

The Hikari Martini (grey goose vodka, Kwai Fei lychee liqueur, Tamagawa, tokubetsu junmai “heart of oak” sake, akitabare, daiginjo “winter blossom” sake, cocchi vermouth di Torino extra dry, fresh cucumber) – A floral and refreshing take on the vodka martini and shaken and served in a nick & Nora glass Garnished with a cucumber ribbon.

The Last Matinee (Masumi shiro “sake matinee”, Roku gin, Green chartreuse, Lime juice) – Inspired by the classic cocktail The Last Word, this is a herbaceous serve which is shaken and served in a snifter glass and garnished with Brazilian daisies.

Yoru no Mikan (Chocolate noir tea syrup, Mozart dark chocolate liqueur, Akitabare, daiginjo “winter blossom” sake, Grey goose l’orange) – Rich and elegant with chocolate and citrus notes. Stirred drink served in a rocks glass over a large cube of ice and garnished with an orange peel disc.

 Emerald Shogun (Ukiyo yuzu gin, Akitabare, daiginjo “winter blossom” sake, Midori melon liqueur, Yuzu juice) – This is a twist on the classic cocktail, Japanese Slipper. Shaken and served in a nick & Nora glass and garnished with seaweed powder on side of glass.
