Warm style meets whimsical detail in this collaborative first for Nobody’s Child and TBCo. – where layering, colour and coordinated scarves weave together in statement autumnal style. The limited-edition knitwear capsule collection comprises of two jumpers, two cardigans, four knitted triangle scarves and two knitted hoods.

Why did you feel TBCo.’s eclectic woollens and Nobody’s Child’s romantic florals were ideal for a statement-making, mix-and-match collaboration?

Both brands love creating fun, unique designs for women who express themselves through what they wear, so it felt natural to come together. We share a commitment to creativity, responsibility, and making pieces that spark joy. By combining our distinctive aesthetics – TBCo.’s playful, bold woollens with Nobody’s Child’s romantic florals – we knew we could create something truly special.

What was your favourite part of designing the collection?

I absolutely love the green cardigan and the red scarf. The green cardi is such a standout piece, the embroidery detail and that perfect shade of green make it feel really special. And the red scarf is a beautiful elevation of our signature red triangle with the added beautiful embroidery details.

Why was the transparency of every piece having its own Digital Product Passport so important to you?

As a certified B Corp, sustainability and transparency are at the heart of everything we do. Having responsible manufacturing partners has been integral to TBCo. from the very beginning. It’s all about empowering people to buy better and feel confident in the impact of their choices.

How should we be embracing the triangle scarf?

The triangle scarf is the most versatile and useful accessory in my wardrobe. It adds a perfect pop of colour and design to elevate any outfit, and because it’s made from 100% merino wool, it’s naturally soft, warm, and breathable. You can wear it inside or out, around your neck or even on your head if it starts to rain. It’s that perfect mix of practicality and style.

Give us a snapshot of your business journey – from one recycled wool blanket, to becoming a design-led brand that recently celebrated 11 years.

We began with a single recycled wool blanket inspired by our Scottish roots and a desire to create more sustainable products. Since then, TBCo. has evolved into a design-led brand, creating beautiful pieces that make an impact – on your outfit, your home, and most importantly, how you feel. Every product is made from natural or recycled fibres, so they’re as good for the planet as they are for you. Our goal has always been to design pieces that empower self-expression, comfort, and joy.

Where do you see TBCo.’s role in shaping the future of responsible retail?

We want to lead the way in responsible retail. From the beginning, we’ve aimed to have a positive impact on people, the planet, and our community. We try to use only natural and recycled yarns because we know the damage the creation of synthetic fibres can cause. By proving you don’t have to compromise on design or quality to be responsible, we hope to inspire the wider industry to do things differently.

Where do the challenges lie in responsible design – and how have you evolved as a company in response?

Responsible design often means setting boundaries. There are pieces we’d love to create, but if they have a negative impact on the planet, they’re simply not right for us. Those limitations can actually spark creativity. For example, our triangle scarf was born from that mindset over two years ago, and it’s now one of our most loved and recognisable designs.

Leith is one of Edinburgh’s coolest neighbourhoods. How does being based there influence your work?

Leith is such an inspiring place. It’s full of creative energy, a mix of people, and independent businesses doing interesting things. We moved into our unique building here over 11 years ago, and it’s been everything from our warehouse to our office, photo studio, and shop. I love being so close to the water; I often cycle along the shore to and from work, whatever the weather! It’s the perfect way to start and end the day.

What are you currently sporting as a capsule wardrobe?

Right now, my go-to look is jeans, an oversized shirt, and one of our knitted vests with either a triangle or skinny scarf. It’s an easy, pulled-together outfit that works for meetings, school pick-up, and cycling around Edinburgh. Comfortable, but still stylish.

What’s your go-to apparel when you’re really having to brave the Scottish elements?

Always knitwear! Wool is the best fabric for keeping warm while staying breathable and comfortable. It’s natural, hypoallergenic, and our merino and lambswool pieces are incredibly soft. For me, there’s nothing better than wrapping up in a beautiful knit on a cold Scottish day.
